Quantum Realism returns to the fair stage with a new body of work.
Following its major fair debut in Palm Springs, Michael David Mayo presented Quantum Realism at the Hamptons Fine Art Fair in Southampton, New York. The exhibition brought together a new selection of large-scale paintings, continuing an exploration of emergence, interconnectedness, and the underlying structures that shape the visible world.
Among the works presented were Nexus, Etheria, Confluence, and Benevolence—paintings that expanded the visual language of Quantum Realism through increasingly complex fields of color, gesture, texture, and layered form. Viewed at scale, the physicality of the surfaces revealed something the screen cannot fully convey: accumulated passages of oil, structural drips, fractures, and depth that shift as the viewer moves around the work.
Over four days in Southampton, the exhibition created opportunities for conversation with collectors, artists, and visitors from across the contemporary art community. More than simply a second fair appearance, the Hamptons marked another step in bringing Quantum Realism beyond the studio and into direct dialogue with a wider audience.
